Not Much in the Promised Land

Promised Land, a movie about hydraulic fracturing (or fracking) and how it affects a small town, makes for good cinema but it shouldn’t be used as a primer to understanding the pros and cons surrounding fracking, says John P. Banks. He encourages moviegoers to enjoy the movie, but points out that fracking is much more complex than the movie lets on.
